Import Passwords from version 1.3

Before importing, check that you have Access Manager version 1.3.361. If you do not have this version, importing will not work correctly. You can download an update to Access Manager 1.3.361 from

To import your passwords from Access Manager 1.3 to Access Manager 2.0, follow these steps:

  • Start Access Manager 1.3
  • Select 'Export Passwords' from the Options menu
  • In the 'Export filename' box enter C:\AM-Export.csv
  • Check that 'Data Separator' is set to a comma (,)
  • Check that 'Enclose data in quotation marks' is checked
  • Click the 'Export' button
  • Enter your Master Password if requested
  • When the exporting has finished, close the Export window
  • Close Access Manager 1.3
  • Click 'No' when asked if you want to delete the export file
  • Start Access Manager 2.0
  • Select Import from the File menu
  • In the CSV 'File Name' box enter C:\AM-Export.csv
  • Click the 'Import' button.
  • When the importing has finished, close the Import window
  • Click 'Yes' when asked if you want to delete the import file

Important note: If your are using a non-English version of Windows, Access Manager 1.3.361 will export your 'Notes Highlight' information in your own language, using the equivalent of 'True' or 'False'.

To enable Access Manager 2.0 to import this information, you may need to manually search and replace the export file and replace these entries with 'True' or 'False'.
