To uninstall Access Manager perform the following steps:
- Select 'Add or Remove Programs' from the Control Panel
- Select the entry named 'Access Manager 2'
- Click the 'Remove' button to start uninstall process
- Or click the 'Change' button to repair the installation.
When the uninstall process is complete, there are 2 files left remaining in the
installation folder. These files are 'AccessManager.xdb' which contains your
passwords and 'AccessManager.config' which contains your options and settings.
These files remain safe and secure. They cannot be accessed without the Access
Manager program and your Master Password.
Because the information in Access Manager is potentially very private and valuable
these files are not automatically removed during the uninstall process. This helps to
protect against accidental or deliberate removal of your information.
If you are certain that you want to remove these files, use Windows Explorer to
delete them or if possible, use a 'secure file deletion' tool to completely destroy these
files.
