Import allows you to add passwords to Access Manager that are in a plain text
file. Passwords can be imported from an XML document or a CSV (Comma Separated
Values) file.
Click the 'Browse' button to select the file that contains the passwords that you
want to import.
Select the 'Allow Duplicates' checkbox if you would like passwords that already exist
with the same title/description to be imported. Access Manager will check to see if
passwords with the same title/description already exist.
If the import file is a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file, then the first line of the file
must contain the Access Manager heading names for the passwords.
Following are the heading names that Access Manager will search for when importing
passwords:
- Title or Description
- Type
- Username
- PW or Password
- Passphrase
- Document (The full name of any web site, document, file or folder)
- ExpiryDate
- Notes
- Owner (The name of the password owner)
- CreatedDate (The date when the password was first created)
- CreatedBy (The name of the person who created the password)
- AccessedDate (The date when the password details were last accessed)
- AccessedBy (The name of the person who last accessed the password details)
- AccessCount (The number of times that the password details have been
accessed)
- ModifiedDate (The date when the password details were last changed)
- ModifiedBy (The name of the person who last changed the password details)
- ModifiedCount (The number of times that the password details have been
changed)
Any other heading names in the import file will be ignored during importing. The
import file only needs to contain the headings for the password items that you want
to import.
