I came across a slight WinVista installation problem that I have been able to remedy but I am not too comfortable with the answer.
*Please keep in mind that my AccessManager2.057 on a portable USB Flash Drive is able to launch properly with WinVista.*

When I attempted to install a copy of AccessManager in WinVista, I got a prompt that I need dotNET Version1.1xxxx.
*Please keep in mind that Windows Vista ships with dotNET Version2.0 already installed*

I was finally forced to install the OLDER version of dotNET in order to be able install AccessManager in WinVista.
{Version 1.1xxx from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en}

Question: Why would I need to install an older version of dotNET for AccessManager to operate inside WinVista that already is featured with a much newer version of dotNET????

.NET 2.0 and 1.1 are not compatible. AM 2 requires .NET 1.1. The next major release of AM will use .NET 2.0 or 2.1.

Is dotNET v1.1 embedded within the portable (USB flash drive) AccessManager?
Especially since WinVista has no problems booting to the portable AM, without requiring the installation of dotNET v1.1 before hand.

AM requires .NET 1.1 to be on the PC that is running Windows.

I successfully used my USB CompactFlash Portable AccessManager with WinVista at least 5 times (over a period of a week), without installing the above referenced dotNETv1.1

It just got quite cumbersome to continually employ the USB drive with WinVista (beta2) and finally was forced to attempt to install a fresh copy of AccessManager in WinVista when I was confronted with the message that AM could not continue installation until dotNETv1.1 was installed in system.

This dilemma was what forced me to post this topic.
Please re-read original post, as it still accurately represents my finding(s).

.NET 1.1 is not embedded in the Portable Media installation of AM.
