Double clicking on a link in notes section doesn't open it in Internet Explorer anymore in new version 2.1.58.

I never had this problem with version 2.0.57 or with version 1.3.

Access Manager does not have a feature where you can double-click on a link in Notes.

Thank you for your response.

Yes it does! Why would I lie? On my old created passwords, in the notes section, I double click on links I have entered there, and they open right away in Internet Explorer. I wish you could post attachments here so I can create a short screen capture video of it to prove it to you.

However, on newly created passwords, it won't let me double click on links and open them in Internet Explorer. Instead, I have to right click and select "Links" i order to open them.

The Notes links are designed to work with a single click.

We have not been able to produce any problems on our PCs. Have you checked that http://www is at the beginning of your links?

Yes, http://www is at the beginning of all my links.

However, on those password accounts I could not click on the links to open them, I deleted, then recreated them, and the links now do work. Weird.

Here's some more interesting information. I recently starting using Microsoft SyncToy 1.4.0.0 to backup these Access Manager files to a external hard drive:

AccessManager.config
AccessManager.xdb

I just discovered that when I run the SyncToys synchronize action which makes two folders/files mirror each other, keeping the latest changes made to the files in either folder, and new and updated files are copied both ways, and the renames and deletes on either side are repeated on the other. After I do that, some of the password links don't work but when I delete the link and recreate it, it then works.

Must be an effect that SyncToy is having on these Access Manager files. But then why some links work and others don't? Strange.

I used to just copy and paste these files to back them up but I like the automation SyncToy provides.

It would be nice if Access Manager could provide a built in backup.

I'm glad that you have at least a partial solution.

The Profesisonal Edition of AM has an automatic backup feature.
