On the File Menu under Database Functions there is a Compact Function. What does it do and when should I use it?

Thanks again for a great program. I am copying and pasting in AM from another program and am up to "M." Its well worth it since AM has so many more features.

'Compact' re-organises the database and reclaims any space used by deleted items. You might want to use it every month or so.

I ran the Compact Function and it reduced my file of 193 passwords from 235 Kb to 172 Kb. However, there was no message that it was running or when it was finished. Some message about those functions would be helpful.

The status bar displays the message 'Compacting database...' and the cursor becomes an hourglass while the database is being compacted.
