The Microsoft .NET Framework is a set of software development and management technologies that are built into the latest versions of Windows. Access Manager 2 utilises these technologies because we have found them to be considerably more robust, flexible and secure than previous offerings. i.e. ActiveX, COM, COM+, WinAPI etc.
If your PC is current with Windows Update, you will already have this component installed. To check, select 'Add or Remove Programs' from Control Panel and look for 'Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1'.
